[Syty] stock battery hold down?

I think you could get a generic unit from that "HELP" line of gizmos they sell at most auto parts stores. I either have about 3 of these laying around... somewhere... or I threw 'em all out 'cause they're so easy to get. Every Optima Battery I ever buy comes with a couple of these pieces and they both seem to work fine.

Just remember to FORCE that lip HARD against the base of the battery as you're torquing-down the retaining bolt. Enough muscle and bias of this sort will assure the battery stays tight in place for many years! It took me over 12 years to intuit and develop this technique and get my batteries to stop moving all over the tray, which was quite embarrassing for one with auto-know-how pretensions as lofty as mine....

If you can't get one of those li'l cleats at a local hard-parts emporium, write back and I'll see if I can dig one up from one of my dozens of parts piles.

Hi All,

Seems I misplaced my battery hold down. Wondering if
anybody might have one lying around? Are they the same as
Jimmy/S10 battery hold downs?

Thanks,
Scott
