When did the expertise leave syty.net as well? I see plenty of people who still post on there with good info. Jeff Scott, Dig, Daron, Waller, Jas Grainger.... to name a few.

Yeah, you may have to dig a bit farther to find the info on
syty.net, but its like Daron says.... you can review it and choose not to read it. Most of of the topics you mentioned that annoy you are located in "Off Topic", exactly where they should be. Its an internet forum with many members of all different ages, knowledge and maturity levels. Its only as good or bad as you make it. Only thing I can say is that if you want to see it better, then participate on the stuff you like and ignore the rest.

Since when do you see alot of GOOD and INFORMATIVE discussion here on syty.org?

*crickets*

This mailing list died years ago.

Larry,
Remember back in the day when we used to have discussions about the posts on the "list" and we even came up with a few ways to ID off topic subjects? You may recall some of old characters from the List that were frequent irritants... The new
fangled communication methods still exhibit some of the old issues we used to deal with on here.

Most automotive bulletin boards are just as much a social engagement as hanging out in the parking lot of your favorite hotel in Kansas City. Just think if we were relegated to only talking about
SyTy's while at the nats. We wouldn't be able to hear about Brian Green's latest boyfriend or Brian Hartman's latest parts modeler etc... Not saying its good or bad but the beauty of
SyTy.net is that you can review the subject and choose not to read it. This is an option I exercise often.
Take care,
